We drove down the gorgeous entrance of Davenport House where we were greeted by the resident heard of cows just meandering around. We went to introduce ourselves to the staff at the venue then found the lovely Rhiannon who was surrounded by her closest friends and family!
Not an ounce of stress, the girls were happily listening to music and getting themselves ready helping each other out as they went along. The atmosphere was lovely, everyone quietly confident this was going to be the most wonderful day.
The most beautiful hand tied flowers sat in the entrance, a gorgeous choice in colours and all provided by Gingerlilly in Telford. Lots of thought had gone into every detail of the day and the staff at Davenport House ensured everything ran like clockwork and they even steamed the bridesmaids dresses. These extra touches really make such a difference!
The bridesmaids got into their dresses purchased from Ever After and then It was time for Rhiannon to get into hers, we stepped out the room and allowed her mum to take over. Rhiannon did such a wonderful job designing this dress but Hannah Wilkins-Webb bought it all to life by creating her dream dress. Hannah is a Designer and creator of bespoke wedding/evening/occasion wear. Absolutely phenomenal work! You can find her on Instagram.
I think it was quite clear from the look on Ben’s face whilst he was waiting at the bottom of the aisle that he couldn’t wait to see Rhiannon’s face. He stood wearing a smart suit purchased from Next.
The moment had come and the doors swung open, one of her dearest friends played guitar whilst everyone walked down towards Ben. She sung effortlessly, it was truly beautiful.
It is important to mention at this point the smiles that everyone had on their faces, something I think we all as photographers will admit has been missed during the pandemic. Seeing all your family and friends beaming from ear to ear will never be taken for granted again.
They walked out hand in hand as the new Mr and Mrs Owen down the steps where they were greeted with handfuls of confetti and well wishes in their new adventure together. A moment they will always remember!
We snook off for some portraits together, its always nice to get them alone so they have a few moments to reflect and chat together as newly weds. We got a few lovely images before handing them back over for their meal, it was gorgeously prepared and presented to their guests.
The speeches had everyone in stitches, Rhiannon’s dad gave us a good insight into their life as she was growing up and talked about his love for his daughter, a very lovely moment. Ben continued the speeches thanking his wonderful friends and family for coming and turning to his new wife to ensure she knew how beautiful she looked. The speeches were drawn to a close by the Best Man well wishing the couple.
They were introduced to their evening guests down the fantastic well known staircase of Davenport House where they cut their gorgeous cake provided by Sugar and Sprinkles from Whitchurch. They then took to the dance floor together and had their first dance as husband and wife, the room filled with Bryan Adams - Everything I do! The love was overflowing from the room.
Thank you for allowing us to play such a big role in your special day, we loved it. We wish you all the luck, love and happiness in the world.
